Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Baptism is an important step of obedience in your journey as a follower of Christ and an outward symbol of an inward change. The Bible paints a beautiful picture of baptism as our identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. When you put your trust in Christ as your Savior, your old self is buried with him, and you begin a new life in Christ.
Trusting Christ as your Savior means you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and that by His death and resurrection, He paid the price for your sin and has reconciled you to God. This is a gift you receive, by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have come to this point in your spiritual journey, you are ready to be baptized.
At Redemption, we have baptism celebrations several times throughout the year. These take place at 10:30am between Sunday gatherings in our Common Space. If you are ready to be baptized, or you have questions about it, sign up below. Because we want to make sure you fully understand what baptism is (and is not!), we will schedule a time to meet with you personally to discuss it.
