Jesus is building His church! We celebrate that more people are encountering, worshipping, and serving Jesus through the local church. Additionally, people are moving from Sunday attendance into committed, covenant community through gospel partnership.
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you... because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
Interested in learning more about becoming a partner at Redemption? In this class, we share helpful information about partnership (who we are & how we function as a church), expectations (what you should expect from the church, and vice versa), and the attitudes that make for a great gospel partnership. You will also have a chance to ask any questions you may have.
Twice a year, we hold a Partnership Class for those interested in joining or just learning more. It is held in the Common Space on a Saturday from 10am-12:30pm. Lunch and childcare are provided.
If you have attended a Partnership Class and would like to proceed in joining Redemption as a covenant partner, you can sign up to meet with an Elder. This time is simply an opportunity for us to connect, to ask questions of one another, and for you share a little bit of your story with us. If we are going to be in covenant community together, we ought to at least know one another!
If we are in agreement on partnership, we will then present you to active partners for a vote of affirmation at a Partner Gathering. Finally, we will present you to the church on a Sunday morning.
To be in covenant community means we share a covenant (agreement) that governs how we relate to one another. We believe a covenant is a thoughtful, sacred commitment we make to one another and to God. One great example of a covenant in the Bible and in culture today is the marriage covenant. While our partnership covenant is by no means a binding document, it is a central component to partnership at Redemption because it clearly expresses the biblical expectations of our relationship.
